Shipping Policy

Delivery Time

In-stock orders placed by Noon EST Monday through Friday are shipped the same day. Japan Woodworker ships most packages using USPS, Standard or Super Saver Shipping. Delivery time is usually 2 to 7 business days across the continental U.S. Orders for products marked "Ships Direct from Manufacturer" will ship from the manufacturer within 5 business days.

Shipping Costs

Unless otherwise noted, all U.S. orders from The Japan Woodworker greater than $200 will be shipped ground service at no additional cost. A $10.45 delivery charge will be added to all orders less than $200. However, please note that delivery of stationary machinery will incur an additional charge (even within the United States).

Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories:  Depending on value and weight, your order may incur additional charges. You will be contacted for your approval before any additional shipping charge is applied.

Non U.S. or Canadian Customers:  Customers will be charged the actual shipping and insurance costs to their respective countries. Shipment will be made by air delivery via the U.S. Postal Service. Please note that you are responsible for any tax and/or duty charges added by your country. Shipment will be made after your credit card and address have been verified.

C-TPAT

C-TPAT Stands for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and is a voluntary initiative to build cooperative arrangements with our overseas suppliers to strength and improve the overall international supply chain and U.S. border security. Through C-TPAT, importers, ensure the integrity of their security practices, verify the security guidelines of their suppliers, and take an active role in preventing acts of terrorism.

Sales Tax

We are required by law to collect and remit sales tax in certain states. For orders shipped to any of the following states, the tax amount listed will be applied to your order.

• AL - 4% plus county or city rates, depending on jurisdiction
• IN - 7%
• MA - 6.25%
• NC 6.75% - 7.25% depending on county tax
• NY 4% - 8.875% depending on jurisdiction
• OH 6.25% - 7.75% depending on county
• PA 6% - 8% depending on jurisdiction
• VA - 5%
• WV - 6%
• RI - 7%

Rush Delivery

We provide Federal Express Next Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day rushed shipments at the request of our customers. All rushed orders incur shipping charges based on the weight of the entire order.

or same day shipments, your order must be received by 12:00 NOON EST.

Back Orders

Occasionally, stock shortages may occur due to unexpected demand of a product. Back orders are usually filled within thirty days. On occasion, stock coming in from overseas may take from 60 to 90 days. You may cancel your order at any time by email or by calling customer service at 1-800-537-7820.
